Description
The Eaton PowerXL DM1 Pro series drives for HVAC/R applications feature: • Best-in-class short circuit combination ratings, certified under new IEC/UL standard, 61800-5-1, NEMA1, 100 kAIC with fuses and MCCBs, 65 kAIC with type E manual motor protectors, 10/14 kAIC with miniature circuit breakers, and no additional fuses or line reactors necessary • Motor control flexibility, asynchronous motor control: IE2 high-efficiency motors, IE3 premium efficiency motors, and IE4 super premium efficiency motors, permanent magnet motor control: surface permanent magnet motors, interior permanent magnet motors, brushless DC motors, and custom motor tuning available • Designed with safety in mind, STO SIL2 on board to eliminate extra componentry and provide equipment motor control that’s inherently safe, commission and manage the drive via Bluetooth to protect the technician, engineer or operator from open or energized equipment, and a suite of motor and equipment protective features built into DM1 parameters to prevent wear and tear • Connectivity without compromise, Bluetooth to wirelessly connect DM1 to Power Xpert inControl PC software, webserver for parameterization via simple ethernet connection, no special cables required, and pro model features ethernet and serial-based communications.
• Air handling unit: easy to design and install – compact footprint, side by side mounting, plenum-rated and wide temperature operating range, simple to integrate – onboard Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, and ethernet-based communications allows to inexpensively tie into AHU controller and upstream BMS, and resettable circuit protection – short circuit combination ratings with manual motor protectors and molded case circuit breakers to eliminate costs with a circuit trip.
• Exhaust fans and fan walls: active energy control – energy optimization algorithm to provide energy savings 5-10% above other VFDs, we speak “fans” – HVAC specific control and protection features that translate into real-world applications, and basic needs – basic models (without keypad and STO) reduce overall cost while providing tremendous value.
• Compressors and refrigeration: flexibility of ratings – features variable torque and constant torque ratings to reduce part numbers and optimize costs, flexibility of motors – controls IE2, IE3 and IE4 asynchronous motors, as well as permanent magnet motors, and robust control – torque boost to start compressors, PID loop for autonomous control and built-in brake chopper to truly control the compressor.
