The QE aluminum tape is now a 90 Micron (3.6 Mil) high tensile strength foil combined with a high-performance adhesive. The aluminum backing provides an excellent reflection of both heat and light, the high-quality adhesive offers permanent sealing and bonding on joints and seams in HVAC ductwork applications, aging resistance in both indoor and outdoor use, low moisture vapor transmission rate for sealing and patching performance, and wide service temperature range (-22 to 248 °F).
