Oils

Oils from Cedars HVAC lubricate compressors, vacuum pumps, and other HVAC or refrigeration service equipment. Refrigeration compressor oil must be selected for the compressor manufacturer, refrigerant family, viscosity grade, and system application; common types include mineral oil, alkylbenzene, and POE synthetic oil. POE oils are widely used with many modern HFC and A2L refrigerant systems, but they are hygroscopic and require careful handling. Never mix oils or top off a system without confirming compatibility, because the wrong lubricant can affect return, lubrication, and reliability.
