Suction Line Accumulators

Suction Line Accumulators from Cedars HVAC protect compressors by holding excess liquid refrigerant and returning oil gradually through the suction side. They are installed between the evaporator outlet and compressor inlet, especially on heat pumps, low-temperature refrigeration systems, and applications where liquid floodback can occur. Choose an accumulator by refrigerant, compressor capacity, suction-line size, connection type, pressure rating, and orientation. Common sweat connections range from smaller residential sizes through larger commercial tubing sizes. The component should be selected from system design data rather than only line diameter, because internal volume and oil-return metering matter. R-454B and legacy R-410A applications require compatible pressure-rated components. Contractor pack options simplify scheduled repairs.
