Everwell heavy duty eccentric flaring tool
The Everwell CT-809A is a heavy duty eccentric flaring tool that forms 45° SAE flares on 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inch OD copper tubing. Unlike a conventional flaring tool that presses a cone straight into the tube, the eccentric cone rolls around the tube wall as it advances, which work-hardens the flare less, needs far less handle force, and leaves a smoother sealing face that is less likely to split or leak.

The cone is mounted off-centre, so as the handle advances the cone orbits the tube and rolls the flare outward progressively rather than pressing it in one shot. That produces a smoother, more uniform flare with less operator effort and less risk of cracking the copper.
1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″ and 3/4″ OD — which covers every common ductless mini-split line set size.
For repeat professional work, generally yes. It takes less force, produces a more consistent sealing face, and reduces split flares on thin-wall tubing. A standard tool is fine for occasional use.
No. It is the flaring tool on its own. For a flare-plus-cutter bundle see the CT-1226AL, or the CT-275 for flaring plus swaging.

Always de-pressurize and recover refrigerant from a system before cutting or flaring any line. Deburr and clean the tube end before flaring, and torque flare nuts to the equipment manufacturer’s published specification. Refrigerant work should be performed by an EPA Section 608 certified technician.
