What the TradePro TPLD refrigerant leak detector does

An electronic refrigerant leak detector finds small refrigerant escapes that soap bubbles and dye miss. The technician sweeps the probe along joints, fittings and coil returns while the unit signals rising concentration. Consequently, leaks get located quickly instead of by guesswork, which shortens diagnostic time on every call.

Fitment and cross-reference

Warm the sensor in clean air before you begin, then move the probe slowly along suspect joints. In addition, work from the lowest point upward where possible, because most refrigerants are heavier than air. Replace the sensing element on the schedule the manufacturer specifies.

Also, compare it against the rest of our HVAC tools, or browse HVAC tools. You can review manufacturer documentation on the official TradePro site.
